“My name is Connie Stewart and I reside at River Bend in Cascade. I’m here to tell you
what a wonderful place this is for your loved ones. I moved here in March of 2008. My
daughter lives in Dubuque and wants me to live closer to her. You see I suffered a stroke in
May of 2004 and was also diagnosed with lung cancer, therefore I needed to be in an
assisted living community like River Bend in order to have this service.

There are different size apartments to choose from and they are cleaned for you as well as
laundry service. They also serve 3 meals a day which is so important for seniors to have
balanced meals and assistance with medications. We all have pendants to wear in case of a
fall or any sudden illness. Just push the button and a staff member comes to assist right
away.

I need to express how great the staff is and they are so good to everyone. Also we have
wonderful cooks here. They spoil us too! We also have a full time nurse on call. In addition,
we have exercise games, crafts, field trips and you make such good friends. I look at the
other residents as my extended family.

When my daughter took a tour of River Bend she loved it and knew I would too, and I do.
